Teenager held over woman's death

A 16-year-old has been arrested in connection with the death of a mother-of-four in a large scale disturbance, police said.

Jeannie Smith, 41, died after an incident involving at least 20 people in Airdrie last weekend.

The teenage male is currently in police custody and is expected to appear in court.
