Violinist backs children's project

Acclaimed violinist Nicola Benedetti is lending her support to a groundbreaking children's music project, it has been disclosed.

The Scottish musician will be on hand to advise and inspire the youngsters involved in the Big Noise orchestra in Stirling's Raploch area.

More than 250 nursery school and primary children from the Raploch estate are involved in the charitable project, which uses the discipline of playing in an orchestra to help them develop a variety of life skills.
