Porridge challenge 'causes a stir'

Cooking enthusiasts are due to gather in the Highlands to compete in the annual world porridge making championships.

Contestants and spectators will descend on Carrbridge, Strathspey, to find out who can make the finest bowl of the traditional oatmeal dish.

The winner of the 2009 world championship title will be awarded the coveted Golden Spurtle trophy.
