Lockerbie bomber in appeal move

The Libyan man found guilty of the Lockerbie bombing is formally seeking to drop the second appeal against his conviction.

Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al Megrahi is serving a life sentence after being convicted in 2001 of the 1988 bombing which killed 270 people.

Lawyers acting for Megrahi will appear before three judges at the High Court in Edinburgh.
