A row has erupted after union chiefs claimed First Minister Alex Salmond had "snubbed" a meeting with a drinks firm planning to axe 900 jobs.
Leaders of the Unite trade union claimed Mr Salmond had opted to appear on a television show instead of meeting the Diageo chief executive.
The company last week announced proposals which could see 900 workers lose their jobs at the Johnnie Walker packaging plant in Kilmarnock and the Port Dundas grain distillery in Glasgow.
