Baby research charity ride ends

An 874-mile cycle-ride to raise money for pioneering baby medical research in memory of the niece of Olympic rower James Cracknell is ending.

Cracknell joined his brother-in-law Jon Furniss, whose daughter Eva died of oxygen deprivation at birth last year, on the penultimate section of the ride from John O'Groats to Land's End, the "Big Ride for Tiny Lives", which started on April 9.

They are raising money for baby brain and body-cooling research being carried out by the children's medical charity Sparks.
