Tory row over school courses cut

Hundreds of courses have been scrapped at schools around Scotland in recent years, it emerged.

Figures obtained by the Tories show that 289 Higher and Advanced Higher courses have been cut since 2006.

Education secretary Fiona Hyslop faced calls to take action to reverse the trend.
