Human rights challenges reduced

Moves to stem a flood of human rights challenges against the Scottish Government have been launched in London and Edinburgh.

Draft orders were laid in the Westminster and Holyrood parliaments which will enable Holyrood to legislate to block many future claims.

The orders, once passed, will enable Holyrood to legislate for a one-year time limit to apply in human rights appeals involving the Scottish Government.
