Fears for missing mother and child

Police said they were concerned for the safety of a mother and her 10-year-old daughter who have been missing for four days.

Diane Fallon, 43, and her daughter Holly were last seen at their home in Cronberry, near Cumnock, East Ayrshire on Saturday night.

Police launched an investigation after they were alerted by Holly's school on Tuesday afternoon that she had not turned up for classes.
