Accused told child 'save yourself'

A man accused of murdering his baby daughter in a house fire told another child to save herself after the alarm was raised, a court has heard.

The six-year-old witness said William Middleton told her and a younger boy to "save yourselves", after which they left the house.

She then told how she remembered seeing Middleton trying to get upstairs to his daughter, nine-month-old Annalise Middleton.
