Stratty Ally

LOW WATERS man William Goodwin this week submitted his entry to poetry corner. The 33-year-old carpenter likes to combine his poetry with his paintings.

He explained: “I like my poetry and paintings to complement each other.”

Stratty Ally

Roots in vains, down forgotten lanes.

Visible tides all day, through the night, sun and moon in perfect time.

Motion on eternal glide, the creeks in the beams have nothing to say.

The yellow brick road lies not far away, with old stone so fine, made of time.

Three trees in a breeze.
