Every week, Hamilton Advertiser Online, will join forces with Bothwell Bridge Animal Home to help find animals a loving and permanent place to stay.
Opened in 1973, the centre was commissioned by Glasgow and West of Scotland SPCA. The centre’s primary function was to provide a stray dog service for the Lanarkshire Police Authority.
In 1999, the Glasgow and West of Scotland SPCA teamed up with the Scottish SPCA enabling Bothwell Bridge to be rebuilt, with more kennels and facilities to re-home cats, dogs and small animals.
Can You Help? At the moment, the centre is appealing for donations of blankets, towels, sheets and duvets. If you can help, please telephone 01698 281128.
Our “Adopt a Pet” corner will include a picture and brief history about the animal, so if you feel that you can give one of the animals a good home, then do not hesitate to contact the kind staff at Bothwell Bridge who will be happy to help.
