SEAT turns Ibiza into estate

STRETCH a SEAT supermini by just 18 centimetres and the result is another new family car.

Due in the showrooms this summer, the Spanish firm's third Ibiza model is the ST, an estate car with a sporty slant.

Thanks to the extra length, it has a king-size boot capacity of 430 litres with the rear seats in position and lots more room is available when they are folded down.

Despite its practicality, the newcomer retains the sporty character of the rest of the Ibiza range and frontal styling bears the hallmark of the brand's arrow design.

According to SEAT, the car will be available with a choice of three petrol and two diesel engines, including the latest high-efficiency 1.2 TDI and 1.2 TSI motors, plus high-tech optional equipment including DSG automatic and manual sequential transmission.
