Hamilton Park is gearing up for Saturday’s Family Night with Stars from X Factor evening.

FINAL preparations were this week underway for one of Hamilton Park Racecourse’s most celebrated fixtures of the season, Family Night with Stars from X Factor, on Saturday.

A superb day of racing will be followed by a live performance from X Factor stars Olly Murs, Stacey Solomon and Danyl Johnson.

Family Night with Stars from X Factor was added to the venue’s event programme for the first time last year and, after attracting a capacity crowd of 10,000, organisers are delighted to welcome the show’s 2009 finalists to the popular racecourse.

Hamilton Park are also pleased to announce their ‘meet and greet’ competition, which will see lucky winners finding a golden ticket inside their racecard, which gives them a pair of backstage passes to meet the three soloists before they appear on stage.

Also returning for Family Night on Saturday is the hotly-contested Hamilton Park annual fancy dress competition.

Former X Factor finalists JLS – who will return to Hamilton Park on July 23 – presented one-year-old David Loudon from Hamilton with the top prize last year after he stole the hearts of everyone in the crowd dressed as a bag of M&Ms, in honour of his favourite musical artist Eminem.

Some of the prizes up for grabs at this year’s fancy dress competition include a £200 family shopping voucher courtesy of Black and Lizars, and one month’s complimentary family memberships at Esporta Health Club.

Vivien Kyles, chief executive of Hamilton Park Racecourse, said: “Following the overwhelming success of our Family Night with Stars from X Factor last year, we’re very excited about welcoming Olly, Stacey and Danyl to the racecourse.

“Commanding a television audience of nearly 20 million Brits on a weekly basis is testament to the mass appeal of these talented performers and I look forward to hearing them live at Hamilton Park on Saturday night.”

Vivien added: “We are committed to offering the highest standard of entertainment available and, with tickets priced from just £13, including a full six-race card, live music, free family activities throughout the night and our annual fancy dress contest, Family Night with Stars from X Factor represents excellent value for money.”

The X Factor finalists join a long list of famous names to have performed at the racecourse in recent years, including Pixie Lott, Dannii Minogue and Sophie Ellis Bextor, and are one of a number of top-class acts appearing this season, including Alesha Dixon.

Family Night with Stars from X Factor is one of Hamilton Park’s Super Seven fixtures, combining premier entertainment with top-class racing.

Family activities will also be on offer for free, including ceramics painting, a paintball shooting gallery, LaserQuest, a ball pool and fairground rides.
