Youth Theatre on look out for talent

HAMILTON District Youth Theatre are currently recruiting young people aged from 14 to 21.

If you have a keen interest in musical theatre and are able to sing, dance or act then you may be interested in joining Hamilton District Youth Theatre, Hamilton’s original, largest and most prestigious youth theatre group.

They currently have limited openings for their upcoming production of Cinderella this December.

If you fall within the specified age category and would like to have the opportunity to join HDYT on stage then please contact either of the numbers below before Sunday, April 19 for further information.

The HDYT regret that they currently are not in a position to offer places to children younger than 14.

A spokesman said: “If your child is already on our waiting list and is not yet 14 then we ask that you do not get in touch at this time as we will notify you when a place becomes available in the future.”

At present the group provide two professionally directed shows a year; one in the spring and a Christmas panto, both in the Hamilton Town House. In between, they offer an extensive diet of workshops which seek to enhance the stagecraft of the youths and the quality of the productions.
