SCOTTISH rockers La Paz are making a comeback in 2009 – and it’s all set to kick off with a gig in Wishaw’s Zico Bar on Friday, February 6.
The band, who feature Motherwell-born Doogie White (ex-Rainbow) on vocals, have been rehearsing for the last few months.
They have now announced three warm-up shows for next month before embarking on a larger tour later on this year.
The shows will be a tribute to Deep Purple and Rainbow.
They will feature classics such as “Burn”, “Kill the King”, “Stargazer” and many more. If things go well then thought will be given to bringing in some La Paz songs for the later gigs.
The opening show is at Zico Bar in Wishaw’s Kirk Road on Friday, February 6.
Doors open at 7.30pm and the band will be on stage no later than 8.30pm.
The original five members of the band, Doogie White (vocals), Chic McSherry (guitar), Alex Carmichael (bass), Andy Mason (keyboards) and Paul McManus (drums) are involved, having been dragged together from all corners of the globe.
