Wet Wet Wet guitarist to rock Motherwell musical audience

WET Wet Wet guitarist Graeme Duffin is set to have audiences out their seats and dancing in the aisles when he delivers a special guest appearance in the forthcoming production of hit musical We Will Rock You at Motherwell Concert Hall this April.

The musical, written by Queen and Ben Elton, is being presented by Motherwell College’s HND Musical Theatre students.

We Will Rock You, which is based on the songs by Queen, has been adored by audiences worldwide and now Lanarkshire residents have the opportunity to take in this exhilarating show.

Graeme, who is a co-founder of The Foundry recording studio in Motherwell, has been involved with Motherwell College for several years.

Performing arts students from the college utilise the facilities at The Foundry as part of their studies and Graeme is pleased to get involved with the forthcoming production.

He said: “Working with Motherwell College students at The Foundry over the last couple of years has been great and I am delighted to get involved with the show.”

David McShane, head of creative arts, media and design said:

“This is a world class show which promises an evening of top class entertainment for all attending.

“The college has built a great relationship with Graeme and the other co-founders of The Foundry. With his experience as an international performer he will bring a lot to the show.

“Our relationship with North Lanarkshire Council also gives us access to venues such as Motherwell Theatre providing students with the opportunity to perform in professional venues.

“All of this really enhances the student learning experience.”

The show will run from Wednesday, April 23 to Friday, April 25 at 7.30pm.

Tickets are priced £7 and are now available from the booking office 403120.
