BELLSHILL punk band Drunken Munki make a triumphant return to a local venue after wildly successful appearances in far flung venues in the ancient Kingdom of Fife.
Dundee band Chiara make their Lanarkshire debut (this band will appeal to Muse fans). Heavy, heavy rockers Corrosion are also returning to their Lanarkshire roots for one night only, all on one bill, and for only £3!
The Joker Bar at the end of Calder Road opens its doors at 7.30pm this Saturday for what will hopefully be the first in a series of successful gigs in 2008.
The event has been organised by members and tutors at Madhoose, a local club providing low cost professional music tuition for 5-95 year olds.
It covers a whole range of music from Punk to Pucinni, Country to Classical, Rock to Ravel and acoustic and electric guitar, voice, keyboard, bass and mandolin. It is supported by local Community Development organisation, The Pavilion.
If you would like any more information about the gig, the bands, or if you’re a band and would like to play at the next one give us a shout on 01698 845837, 07971 681315 or in the evenings, 07770447788. And remember, this is a pub, over 18’s only and remember to bring your ID.
