Three lucky readers are in with the chance of winning Emily Maguire’s “Keep Walking” album.

A real talent with an extraordinary story, Emily is one of those rare artists that bursts onto the scene fully formed — yet apparently from nowhere.

The title of her new album “Keep Walking” is particularly apt since there was a time when Emily couldn’t walk — a car accident that was to prove the catalyst to a very different future.

Although Emily was born in London and was a musical prodigy learning to read music around the same time she leaned to talk, she now lives a very eco-friendly life in the Australian bush.

The turning point for Emily came when she was aged 17.

Having dropped out of school she was involved in a serious car crash and for 10 years struggled with unbearable pain often unable to lift even a teacup or walk without sticks.

To help pass the time she took up guitar and began writing.

A doctor at the Royal London Homeopathic Hospital prescribed a pill that worked. Within one month the pain had gone and her life changed again.

The musical results of her physical confinement are shown to good measure on the album “Keep Walking” which was released last week.
