Hamlet: Cut to the Bone is adapted by Simon Rae, a poet and playwright whose unconventional output has included a decade of irreverent topical poems for The Guardian and a revealing biography of W.G. Grace.
Hamlet is played by RSC actor David Keller who has earned critical acclaim in numerous leading roles including Othello, John Merrick in the Elephant Man and Dr Dysart in Equus.

One of Lanarkshire’s best-known bands of the 1980s, Brothers of Craig, will be performing their first gig in 17 years and this is sure to appeal to their many fans in the area.

strum - Lanarkshire’s most prestigious open-mic night - continues tonight at the award-winning Angels Hotel.
strum is in the midst of its 2008 competition, with the eventual winner taking away a substantial cash prize and some time in a recording studio.
Six competitors compete every week, with the top two progressing to a semi-final set to be held later this year.
There are a number of promotions on both food and drink throughout the night.

This spring, Charlie will be embarking on a very special tour which kicked off on February 21 and will be including this date for the county.
As the result of much popular demand he has decided to pay tribute to some of his own favourite writers as a major part of his performance.
Having written compositions himself that have been covered by many famous artists - often making it into the British charts - Charlie will this time be singing other people’s songs as well as his own.
His own special tribute on the night will be to artists such as Bob Dylan, Cole Porter, John Prine, Gordon Lightfoot, Sting and The Beatles will be mixed in with original material and, of course, his own great sense of humour.
Charlie and his five-piece band are well known for keeping concert goers enthralled with their top level performances and sheer professionalism.
His heartfelt, telling lyrics and his very human anecdotes captivate his audiences wherever he performs and his visit to Lanarkshire is that should not be misssed for a truly superb evening.
His music, which ranges from inspirational to country, from ballad to anthem, truly hits the spot while on stage he is as enter taining as he is melodic.
