Fund-raising Elvis night

THE PETAL(people experiencing trauma and loss) charity are hosting a special event to raise money for the charity’s funds.

The event, which will take place on Saturday, February 21, at the Miners Welfare in Blantyre will be in fancy dress and organisers say they are hoping for a really big turnout of local people.

A special Elvis tribute act will also be there to entertain everyone throughout the evening, with raffles and goodies up for grabs and prizes for the best fancy dress.

Tickets costing £5 are available from PETAL offices at 29 Clydesdale Street or by calling 01698 324 502. Tickets are also available from the committee at the Blantyre Welfare Club.

All proceeds from the evening will go to PETAL’s charity funds.
