TO mark the 250th anniversary of the birth of Robert Burns and in association with the national Homecoming Scotland 2009 celebrations, on Thursday, January 29, Hamilton Town House presents A Celebration o' Burns.
The concert offers a marvellous evening of music and song led by one of Scotland's favourite entertainers, Alastair MacDonald.
Alastair will be joined by a host of top musicians including The Kirkintilloch Band and the Bothwell Philharmonic Choir for an uplifting evening's entertainment of which Burns himself would surely have been proud.
Alastair, who needs no introduction to most, has been performing since 1970 and has built up a successful career not only in his native Scotland but all around the world with numerous radio and television credits.
He is no stranger to the works of Burns and has over the years recorded many of the bard's songs.
Tickets for the concert cost £8/£6 and can be purchased from Hamilton Town House box office on 01698 452299.
