Lanarkshire bands are being urged to hand in last minute entries for Dalziel Park’s “The Sessions”.
Bands have the chance to compete in a series of live “battle of the bands” nights to be in with a chance of winning some top prizes.
Organisers at Motherwell’s Dalziel Park have been inundated with demos from Lanarkshire’s musical talents and are encouraging even more local bands to get in touch.
The winning band will receive the fantastic prize of a day in a recording studio as well as £500.
The Competition heats will take place on Sundays from now through November, kicking off from 7.30pm, with the winner being announced towards the end of November.
New Dalziel Park owner, Alan Wright recognises there is a huge pool of local talent after recently moving to the area from Airdrie.
He said: “We have already lined up some great bands but are sure there are more budding stars out there. We know that there is a lot of great musical talent on the doorstep so we want to hear from as many performers as possible. ”
Motherwell based band “The Decent Souls” are one of the many bands who will be taking to the stage and showing their musical skills at Dalziel Park.
Known for their energetic set, the four piece band already have a string of gigs behind them such as Live @ Loch Lomond and the Barrowlands. The band is renowned for their dynamic and energetic sound which creates a captivating atmosphere in every venue they play.
