Beauty queens to back charity

TWO beauty queens will join forces later this month in Hamilton to launch a charity fashion show for families affected by cancer.

Nicola McLean, former Miss UK and Scotland, and Lois Weatherup, another former Miss Scotland, will be among the models strutting their stuff on the catwalk to raise money for children’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent.

The Crystal Rose Fashion Show is being staged at the Hamilton Palace, Hamilton on Thursday, October 30.

The event will be compered by L107’s Scottie McClue.

The fashion show has been organised by voluntary fundraiser Jamie Aitken who hopes to raise more than £2000.

Tickets are priced at £5 and are available from Cherry Pie Boutique in Quarry Place and Soul Clothing in Duke Street.
