IRN-BRU urges fans to create new ad

Due to the great response to the new irn-bru ad launched last week, Irn-bru is calling on fans to send in their own take of the latest advert, a spoof of Rudyard Kipling’s poem  “If”.

With the original version featuring a number of ‘snapshots’, from donating money to charity, to being at a gig with friends, the public is now being encouraged to capture even more proud Scottish moments and, along with accompanying rhyming couplets, upload them to the new IRN-BRU website.

Advertising greats, The Leith Agency, who have created IRN-BRU adverts for the past 15 years, will view the very best video clips and edit them together to create a new 60 second film version of ‘If’ that could be shown across Scotland in June, provided it is approved by the advertising body, BACC.

"We've never done anything like this before" said an IRN-BRU spokesperson, "but given the fantastic reaction that we always have to our campaigns, we thought the Scottish public would relish the opportunity to create their very own version of ‘If’.
