Prices announced for new Range Rover Sport and Discovery

LAND Rover has announced prices of its new 2010 Range Rover Sport and Discovery 4 models, which will be on sale from September.

Significantly revised and updated, they have new engines, redesigned interiors and a variety of new technologies.

In announcing price rises for the range, the company says: ``The pricing structure will reflect the increase in the level of specification over the predecessor products.''

The entry-level Range Rover Sport is the 3.0-litre TDV6 ES costing £44,895, which comes with 19-inch 15-spoke alloy wheels, a new look front grille and side vents, LED front side lights and rear tail lights, dynamic stability control and a diesel misfuel protection device.

There is also touch-screen hard-disc drive navigation with 4x4 interface, voice control, nine-speaker harman/kardon audio system, iPod/USB connectivity module, Bluetooth phone system, a five-inch TFT information display screen, keyless push button start and leather seat facings.

The HSE version costs £50,695 and gets 20-inch diamond-turned alloy wheels, bright finish front grille and side vents, Adaptive Dynamics including a new Dynamic mode on Terrain Response, Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control with forward alert, adaptive bi-xenon headlights and Automatic High Beam Assist.

Next up is the 5.0-litre supercharged V8 petrol model costing £61,995 equipped with high performance brakes, 20-inch alloy wheels, chrome exhaust finisher, premium leather seats with perforations and optional contrast stitch.

Land Rover Discovery 4 prices start with the 2.7-litre TDV6 GS at £31,995, which has six-speed manual transmission, 18-inch alloy wheels, LED front side lights and rear tail lights, independent air suspension, Terrain Response, stability control with Trailer Stability Assist, Roll Stability Control, Bluetooth phone system, diesel misfuel protection device, seven seats, five-inch TFT information display, keyless push button start and cloth seat facings.

The 3.0-litre TDV6 GS model costs £34,495 and gets 19-inch seven-spoke alloy wheels asnd six-speed adaptive automatic transmission with CommandShift.

There is also an XS version costing £40,495 that comes with cruise control, front parking sensors, front foglamps, automatic headlights, rain sensing windscreen wipers, leather seats with manual adjustment, heated front seats, nine-speaker harman/kardon audio system, touch-screen hard-disc drive navigation, iPod/USB connectivity and roof rails.

At the top of the range is the HSE model priced at £47,695, which has 19-inch seven-spoke alloy wheels, bi-xenon front headlamps, rear view camera with parking aid, keyless entry, electric front sunroof with two fixed glass rear roofs and a hard-disc drive navigation system with voice control among its features.
