Hamilton Lawn Tennis Club’s junior coaching programme and elite squad to be extended

HAMILTON Lawn Tennis Club’s junior coaching programme and elite squad will this year be extended to include players aged 21 years.

The programme is suitable for all standards and racquets will be provided if needed.

An initial 10-week block running every week starts from Saturday, April 24 and will end on Saturday, June 26.

There will also be an additional red and orange class running for 10 weeks at the club from Thursday, April 22 to June 24.

Classes are structured in such a way that even those who haven’t played tennis before won’t be out of place, and more beginners are always welcome.

Summer camps will run throughout the holidays with group coaching starting again when the schools are back in session.

Classes available are: Mini tennis red (ages 4-7), Saturdays 9.30am-10.30am or Thursdays 4.45pm-5.45pm; mini tennis orange (ages 8-11), Saturdays 10.30am-11.30am or Thursdays 5.45pm-6.45pm.

This course focuses and improves upon the shot technique, contact points and stroke repetition.

Basic tactics are also introduced at this level by the instructors.
