Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor urges Lanarkshire players to try and reach the UK Open.

DARTS champion Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor has urged Lanarkshire players to enter a competition dubbed the “FA Cup of darts”.

The UK Open is the only Professional Darts Corporation tournament where amateurs can face the top professionals.

Riley’s are holding eliminator tournaments during April and May at 20 of their clubs across the country.

Taylor (left), a Riley’s Darts ambassador, said: “I would love to see some new talent get through to the final rounds.”

To enter, contact your nearest Riley’s club at 296 Main Street, Bellshill.
