St Christopher’s Cycling Club news.

ST CHRISTOPHER’S Cycling Club have a busy start to 2010, with plenty of activities going on.

The East Kilbride club have members from throughout the county.

They hope to restart their popular roller racing nights on a Wednesday evening at the Ballerup sports complex.

Cyclists can bring along a set of rollers or turbo trainers and either follow a set programme by Mandy Cullie or do their own thing.

There are some spare sets of rollers if required.

St Christopher’s will hold their monthly winter meeting on January 13, followed by the AGM on January 27.

A new committee will be formed and race dates set for the coming year, amongst other business.

Both meetings will take place at Ballerup Centre.

The club also hope to resume their Sunday social runs, although this is very much weather-dependent. So far, a date or route has yet to be identified.

On January 31, the club will hold their annual presentation lunch, where all the hard work done by members last year is rewarded.

This year’s event takes place in the Eglinton Arms Hotel, Eaglesham, and will take the form of a two-course lunch followed by the trophy presentation.

A £5 deposit per person is required to book a table and full cost is £13.50 per person.

Further information is available on the club’s website at www.stchrisccek.co.uk.
