A HAMILTON tukido student took home a medal from his first major competition.
Simon Ross finished third in sparring form at the British Tukido Championships in the Lagoon Leisure Centre, Paisley, in November.
In a fast-paced day Simon’s performance earned him the medal.
Simon, from East Kilbride, started tukido earlier this year and has now set his sights on training to grade for his next belt in January.
Tukido has an emphasis on natural body movement, health and fitness.
The Hamilton Tukido Club members train at St Ninian’s Primary School on Mondays and Thursdays from 7pm.
