Hollandbush team win seniors 60-plusgolf championship

HOLLANDBUSH Golf Club were recently crowned Clydesdale Sports Council Seniors 60+ Inter-Club League champions for 2009.

Clubs had been competing for the honour since May, playing home and away games, with the league fixtures completed at the end of August.

Hollandbush were up against Carluke, Carnwath, Biggar and Leadhills for the title.

Clydesdale Sports Council would like to thank all the clubs and golfers who took part in this season’s competition.

Liaison officer Colin McKendrick would also like to extend special thanks to Bill Miller, Bill Fulton, Les Dickinson, Harry Shaw, John Connelly and Tom Tweedie for their co-operation throughout the season.

The tournament, whuich proved a great success, was organised in partnership with South Lanarkshire Leisure.
