QUARTER teenager Natalie McWilliams scooped three windsurfing titles at St Mary’s Loch in the Borders, despite strong opposition from from all over Scotland.
The 14-year-old Natalie was crowned Scottish Junior Champion, fending off opposition from both boys and girls.
She also won first prize in the 6.8m class and took the trophy for being first girl in that class.
Natalie’s delighted dad Arthur said: “This was a remarkable achievement for Natalie, who has only been racing in the Techno 6.8m class for one year and finished in the lower ranks at the same event in 2008.”
He added: “She recently returned from her first international competition, in Weymouth, England, which attracted competitors from 23 countries.
“Natalie finished as the 17th-fastest windsurfing girl in the world, which she was delighted with. She aims to work even harder to move further up the league in 2010.”
