CLYDE Valley Blackhawks American football team won 34-0 in Whitehaven after facing Cumbrian Mariners in their first road trip of the year.
The concession of penalties by Cumbria soon had Clyde Valley in control.
Touchdowns were scored by Graeme MacMillan (2), David Orr, Craig MacMillan, and Tam Chapman. David Orr, jnr, added the extra point from the boot on three occasions, with David Chapman also converting.
The Blackhawks squad would like to thank their travelling supporters, and Cumbria Mariners for their hospitality, and friendly, yet very competitive match.

Alternatively, they train at Wishaw’s Beltane Park on Sundays from 1pm-4pm, and anyone interested in playing can just show up.
Meanwhile, victorious Clyde Valley Falcons are celebrating after going through their season undefeated.
The Wishaw club’s junior section had gone through 14 straight games without defeat before tackling the Kingdom Bowl in Dunfermline, their final tournament.
Falcons started against Dundee Storm, and ran up a 16-0 half-time lead. However, complacency set in, and Falcons were pegged back, before edging the game 24-20.
Hosts Fife Fire were up next but they couldn’t match Falcons, who ran out comfortable 40-12 winners.
Edinburgh Wolves were Falcons’ final opponents, but the Wishaw club maintained their impressive record with a 42-22 win
Falcons now progress to the British Finals on September 7.
