Uddingston Grammar schoolboys claim silverware

UDDINGSTON Grammar’s under-15 football team beat Stranraer Academy to win the South West Regional championship.

Uddingston won 1-0, with a goal from Craig Muir five minutes from the end of a pulsating encounter.

PE teacher and coach Tommy McConville said: “The boys are to be congratulated for their commitment and sporting behaviour as they look forward to the challenge of next season.

“It was a great team performance.”
