Hamilton Probus got their hands on the Rowland Shield for the first time after defeating Hamilton Caledonian Bowling Club in their annual showdown.

The Probus Club, which features members of Hamilton, Hamilton Caley and Udston Bowling Clubs, defeated their hosts 3-2 on rinks on the day, winning the shield for the first time in its four-year history.

Pictured presenting the prize to Probus president Joe Rankin is Ken Rowland, bowling convener for the Probus club and previous past secretary at Hamilton Caley, who donated the shield.
