Moira on a roll with her treble success

MOIRA Sheridan of Law Bowling Club made it three-in-a-row in the 2008 Clydesdale Ladies’ Champion of Champions event at her ‘home club’.

Over the two-day event on June 3 and 10, Moira progressed to the final, where she defeated Lesmahagow Bowling Club’s Christine McLellan.

Beaten semi-finalists were Agnes Davidson (Carstairs BC) and Nancy Warwick (Carnwath BC), who unfortunately couldn’t play due to ill-health.

Thanks were given at the presentation by Clydesdale Sports Council liaison officer Colin McKendrick, to Law Bowling Club, markers, scorers, players, Jean Smith and Jenny Armstrong from the sports council for administrative help, and Frances Thomson from Law’s ladies’ bowls committee for umpiring over the two days.
