HAMILTON Cricket Club recorded a winning draw in their Western District Cricket Union match against the Alps at Glasgow Academy Sports Ground.
Iman was top-scorer with 81 as Hamilton closed their 50-over innings on 236-9.
Azfal, bowling for Hamilton, conceded 32 for 6, but changed to spin and only a further 15 runs were recorded in nine overs, taking two wickets.
Although the Alps completed their innings on 220, they had three wickets in hand so the match was recorded as a scoring draw, with most of the points going to Hamilton.
On Thursday of last week Hamilton Thistle’s Evening League side recorded a second consecutive away win, against Hillhead at Hughenden in Glasgow.
The Glaswegians batted first and filed a 126 total.
Hamilton recorded a number of boundaries and victory was achieved in the final over, running out winners at 127-5.
On Saturday Hamilton are away to Gatehouse of Fleet, and on Thursday Hamilton Thistle play a rearranged Greenwood Trophy quarter-final against Strathclyde at the GHK Sports Grounds in Glasgow.
