Deadline for half marathon entries

RUNNERS hoping to take part in the 2008 Diet Coke East Kilbride Half Marathon and 10k Fun Run need to have their entries in this evening (Thursday).

But to help them prepare, the Advertiser has teamed up with Hamilton’s ATHelite shop to offer £100 of specialist running equipment.

The race takes place on Sunday, June 22, from 9.30am, at the John Wright Sports Centre.

Entering online at www.ekhalfmarathon.co.uk is the surest way of beating the deadline, but calls can also be made to 01698 476118.

The 10k is open to anyone aged 15 or over on the day of the race. Runners need to be 17 or over to take part in the half marathon.

This year’s official charity is St Andrew’s Hospice in Airdrie, which will receive £1 from each entry fee.

To stand a chance of winning our £100 voucher, answer the following easy question: Where does the 2008 Diet Coke East Kilbride Half Marathon and 10k start from?

Send your answer, alongside your name, address, age and daytime telephone number to: ATHelite Competition, Hamilton Advertiser editorial, Press Buildings, Campbell Street, Hamilton, by first post on Thursday, June 19 or email the same details to jtonner@s-un.co.uk.
