Derek will be ambassador for the district

CLYDESDALE Sports Council’s Derek Hewit is in Romania this week representing the district at a Youth for Vivicittá training seminar in Bucharest.

The Scottish Association of Local Sports Councils Youth Committee member is spending five days at the conference.

Participants have come from all over Europe with the seminar being organised by ISCA in cooperation with UISP in the framework of the International Youth Leader Education programme.

The project is supported by IASFA, UISP, ISCA and the Council of Europe Youth Foundation.

SALSC, who gave Derek the opportunity to represent Scotland, are looking forward to organising a Vivicittá event in Scotland.

Derek works for South Lanarkshire Leisure and is employed at Lanark Swimming Pool.
