SEVERAL Lanarkshire Homing Societies took part in Saturday’s race from Appleby.

The results were:

LOW WATERS: 1 - J. Fleming (1692.638); 2 - T. McCabe (1540.429); 3 - A. Nelson and Son (1526.182). J. Fleming wins the G. Foster Memorial Shield.

BURNBANK: 1 - W. Reid (1901.7); 2 - J. Hannah (1550.17); 3 - J. Hannah (1549.73). L. McNaughton wins the All Bird KO.

GREENFIELD: 1 - R. Richardson (1406.081); 2 - D. Simpson (1345.574); 3 - Hendry Bros (1310.721).

NETHERBURN: 1 - A. S. Hamilton (1407); 2 - R. Smith (1422); 3 - A. S. Hamilton (1407).
