MEMBERS of Larkhall’s Hibari-Kan Judo Club have returned from recent competitions with medals.
At the Scottish Mini-Mon Championships at Meadowbank in Edinburgh on Saturday, bronze medals were won by Sophie Neilson in the Under-10 Under-28k, Angus McAlistair in the Under-10 Under-42k, and Amy Dougan in the Under-12 Under-44k.
The following day Aidan Brown won a silver medal in the 4th Kyu, orange belt section, at the Western Area Kyu and Dan Championships in Kilmarnock.

SCOTTISH Rugby have announced that their ‘Rugby Champions’ programme is to hit Lanarkshire as the initiative goes national following a link-up with Scottish Widows Bank.
Rugby Champions aims to increase the amount of rugby played in secondary schools, while rewarding dedicated teachers who give up their spare time to take extra-curricular rugby.
The programme operates by rewarding the school’s registered rugby champion with personal coaching kit and providing the school with specialist rugby equipment for coaching and training.
