Probe into suspicious betting on 'Well game

MOTHERWELL footballer Steve Jennings is at the centre of a gambling probe this week.

The Association of British Bookmakers are investigating an incident during the Motherwell and Hearts game at Fir Park on Tuesday, in which Jennings was sent off after abusing referee Stevie O'Reilly.

It has since emerged that a £500 bet was placed at 10-1 for a Motherwell player to be sent off in the course of the match. The bet was placed in the Liverpool area, where Jennings' home town.
