A LORN Gibson header sent Bellshill Athletic through to the Central League Cup third round at the expense of Lanark United.
The game was switched to Vale of Clyde’s park at Tollcross.
Two more second-round ties are listed for Saturday with Shotts Bon Accord entertaining Pollok, while Kilsyth Rangers visit Carluke Rovers.
Shotts manager Tony McInally said: “Pollok are a team that have set the standard for junior football over a long number of years.”
Carluke manager Whitey Moffat said: “It will be a difficult tie against a team two divisions above us but we will give it a real go.”
Larkhall Thistle have been kicked out of the Central League Cup.
