LANARKSHIRE’S sole remaining club the Emirates Scottish Cup, Shotts Bon Accord, have been drawn away to Arthurlie or Hill of Beath Hawthorns in the fifth round.
Manager Tony McInally said: “It will be a difficult game no matter who wins the fourth-round tie.
“I rate Arthurlie very highly, and they have a first-class management team.
“Hill of Beath are also a strong side and I had hoped to take in the tie once I knew our game was off – only to find that their fixture was also called off.”
That rearranged game will go ahead at the Fife ground this weekend, with the winners at home to Shotts the following Saturday.
That leaves the door open for Shotts to exact revenge against Arthurlie following a controversial Sectional League Cup final defeat at Maryhill in September.
Shotts have held a grievance against the Barrhead club since young Steve Barker was harshly sent off after half an hour of that 2-0 defeat.
