MANAGERLESS Motherwell were on Monday drawn against Welsh side Llanelli in the Europa League first round qualifier.
The first leg takes place at Airdrie United’s New Broomfield Stadium on Thursday, July 2 (8.05pm), with the return at Llanelli’s Stebonheath Park on Thursday, July 9 (7pm).
Llanelli have a seated capacity of just 1000, and Motherwell fans can expect at least five per cent of that under UEFA rules.
An announcement is expected to be made tomorrow (Friday), as to Motherwell’s allocation.
Following boss Mark McGhee and assistant Scott Leitch’s departure to Aberdeen, the club are still looking for a replacement management team but hope to make an announcement soon.
Former Motherwell and Liverpool star Gary McAllister has been strongly linked with the job, as have former international managers Lawrie Sanchez and Steve Staunton.
Former players Luc Nijholt and Miodrag Krivokapic have also been linked with the gaffer role.
Captain Stephen Craigan is acting as caretaker until an appointment is made, and took the first day of pre-season training on Monday.
