Bell requests transfer

LESMAHAGOW have re-signed 10 of last season’s squad and placed midfielder Davie Bell on the transfer list.

Assistant boss Robert Irving explained: “We signed Davie at the start of the season from Wishaw and he was doing well for us.

“But when we got down to re-signing talks he was unhappy at not being guaranteed first-team football every week so we have placed him on the transfer list at his own request.”

The midfielder was previously with Stonehouse Violet, Blantyre Vics and Wishaw.

The two most recent players to re-sign for ’Gow are defenders Andy Brown and Matthew Aymard.

Meanwhile Bellshill Athletic have placed left-sided defender Anton Franchetti on the transfer list.

The club’s Player of the Year award went to left-back Matt McVittie, with striker Gary Fleming picking up the Players’ and Supporters’ Player of the Year gong.

Top scorer was John Boyle.
