NEWMAINS UNITED last week concluded a major bit of business after local company Jordan Electrics re-signed a deal as their main sponsors.
United are in their comeback season after taking a year out, following events which put them on the verge of collapse.
Businessman Brian Jordan met the backroom staff and players on Saturday and tried his sponsored shirt on for size.
Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to see his investment in action, as Newmains’ match against Carluke Rovers was called off due to wet weather.

Newmains have also clinched backing from web-based MyScotFC.com, which encourages football fans from around the world to contribute an annual membership fee to purchase and run a football club.
