PROMOTED Thorniewood United will bid for a hat-trick of wins in the Blackburn Trophy, when they host the four-club tournament at Robertson Park this weekend.
They kick off against Civil Service Strollers at 1pm on Saturday, with Blackburn v Kirkcaldy YM at 3pm.
The third-place play-off will start at 1pm on Sunday, with the final two hours later.
Blantyre Vics host their annual charity four-club tournament the following weekend, when opening day matches are Vics v Campsie Black Watch (12.30pm), and holders Bellshill Athletic v Whitburn (3pm).
Sunday’s fixtures will also be at 12.30pm, with the final at 3pm.
Meanwhile, Vics will play Stoneyburn at the Bent Park on Saturday, with a 2pm kick-off.
Shotts Bon Accord and Lesmahagow are taking part in the Lugar Boswell four-team tournament on July 26 and 27, while Lanark United are involved in a similar tournament at Maryhill, now bossed by former Bellshill defender Kevin O’Neill.
Bellshill Athletic will play friendlies at Harthill on Saturday and Cambuslang Rangers on Tuesday.
The following Tuesday, July 29, Bellshill will be at home to Scottish Cup winners Bathgate Thistle, which may see the return of Paul McGrillen to New Brandon Park, albeit as part of the opposition side.
