SIMON MENSING insists Accies boss Billy Reid doesnt need to raise his troops for Saturdays trip to face Ross County because theyre well aware of what is at stake.
A Hamilton win at Victoria Park will put them top of the table, but victory for the Dingwall side will send them four points clear and probably see Accies tumble down the First Division table.
But after Saturdays 2-0 win at Morton, Mensing hopes Accies go into a run of form and prove theyre title challengers.
He said: Its a long trip up to Dingwall but were prepared for it.
Were going to go out there with confidence after Saturdays result and, hopefully, well take something from the game.
Billy doesnt need to raise us for this game we know what the incentive is.
Weve done quite well this season and got to the Ramsdens Cup final, but the league is our bread and butter.
Were in a good position at the moment and in the last few weeks I think weve done pretty well, bar the Falkirk result.
Hopefully thats us on a bit of form now and we can kick on.
Mensing was delighted with Saturdays win at Cappielow, courtesy of subs Paul Currie and Grant Anderson, and says the result shows that Accies have strength in depth.
He said: Were not just a first XI were in it as a squad, and Paul and Grant certainly showed that.
