CLYDESDALE were beaten 17-13 at home to McLaren FP in their Scottish Hydro West League Division Two clash at Alexander Hamilton Memorial Park.
A Colin Scott try was added to by two penalties and a conversion by David Deuchar. But McLaren scored tries through James Montgomery, Gregor Harvey and Andrew Drummond, with Gregor Creevy adding a conversion in a tight game.
In the West League Division Three Lanark slumped to a narrow 13-11 defeat at home to Braidholm. A Euan Scott try and two penalties from Iain Hughes were cancelled out by tries by Danny McClafferty and Scott Weir, with Robin Smyth adding the deciding penalty.
